It’s Not Too Late – Holiday Expectation Check In
Christmas is one week away. How are you feeling? Is everything on track or do you feel overwhelmed.
Regardless of whether you are on track or not, it is not too late to pause and assess your expectations for the next two weeks. Pause today and ask yourself what would give you joy in the next two weeks for the holiday and make sure to incorporate those things into your schedule. If there are things on your schedule that you are dreading or that are making you feel overcommitted, then consider taking them off your schedule. Or, if you can’t, then modify your participation or adjust your attitude.
I will again share this quote because it relates to commitments and expectations….

Regifting – Do You Scorn or Embrace?
I know people who think that regifting is tacky or means that you don’t think much of the recipient if you regift to them. As a life coach, encouraging individuals to clear clutter from their space, I personally think that regifting is great if done with the best of intentions and if a few “rules” are followed.
Regifting is the act of taking a gift that has been received and giving it to somebody else. I also say that it can also be gifting something that you bought for yourself but hasn’t been used. Some, and even those that scorn regifting, may have participate in a “white elephant gift exchange” that is supposed to be a fun way of “regifting” unused or unloved items.
If you do plan to regift with the best of intentions to declutter, there are rules of etiquette that you should follow: [Read more…] about Regifting – Do You Scorn or Embrace?
To Stress or Not to Stress the Holiday
The holiday season usually brings lofty expectations. There are lots of things to do to make the celebrations perfect. Or so we think. If you are unable to adjust your list, left planning to the last minute or just feel overwhelmed, make sure you find some time practice the three Rs to change:
- RECOVER – take time just for yourself
- REFOCUS – look at the big picture
- REGENERATE – connect with new people or reconnect with old friends
and do one thing each day to bolster your resilience.
I hope that this will be a season of joy for you and not stress.
