What Do You Believe?

Our beliefs about our stuff and things can cause us to hold on to clutter or hoard. And sometimes self-rejecting beliefs or belittling beliefs that we got when we were children, can contribute to our clutter,

Beliefs that you developed as a child or even in adulthood kept you safe or helped you make sense of confusing situations.

For example, you may have felt unseen or unheard and decided this was because of something you did or because of a character trait, but that may not have been true then or may not be true now. Understanding where some of these feelings of insignificance took root can help you to make some changes in your beliefs and/or values.

We may keep stuff because it makes us feel important or because it gives us a sense of control in our lives.

By digging into the thoughts that are limiting beliefs you can shift your perceptions around your own ability to impact your life. And you may discover wonderful things about yourself. When you gain awareness, you may become amazed at how much your life can change.

If it doesn’t fit…let it go

If it doesn’t fit, why are you still holding on to it?

This question could be about your clothes or things or your beliefs.

Just because something fit into your life in the past, if it no longer fits, let it go and move on. Holding on to things in the past just because holds you back. If you want to move forward, let go of what no longer serves you.

Clutter Busting: Your Beliefs About a Healthy Weight

Since this is National Nutrition Month® I wanted to share a post about healthy weight and our beliefs from a while back. What is true for you and your healthy weight?

Think about your beliefs about being at a healthy weight. Are they still true for you? Do you struggle with achieving a healthy weight? What are your mental messages about your weight and eating healthy?

It does take an attitude adjustment and a daily commitment to eat healthy…to nourish your body to support the life of your dreams. If you continue to believe that achieving weight loss is hard work, it will be that way for you.  But if you choose to become your own priority and choose to eat healthier, lose weight, if needed, and be physically active you will be able to be a healthier you.
