Clutter Busting: Regifting Presents

December 15, 2018 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

According to freedictionary.com the definition of regift is:

regift
vb
to give (a gift one has received previously) to someone else

You are either pro or con on regifting. I think regifting is a great way to declutter and move items on to others to use. I say if you don’t love it or use it, consider regifting it.
Of course, there are some regifting rules to follow.

If you haven’t yet finished your gift buying this year, consider regifting for some of the remaining gift items.

Clutter Busting: Your Mental Message About a Healthy Weight

August 24, 2013 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

Think about your beliefs about being at a healthy weight. Are they still true for you? Do you struggle with achieving a healthy weight? What are your mental messages about your weight and eating healthy?

It does take an attitude adjustment and a daily commitment to eat healthy…to nourish your body to support the life of your dreams. If you continue to believe that achieving weight loss is hard work, it will be that way for you.  But if you choose to become your own priority and choose to eat healthier, lose weight, if needed, and be physically active you will be able to be a healthier you.

Become your own priority. If you interested in learning how life  coaching can assist you in reaching your goals, contact me to learn more.

Clutter Busting: Letting Go

June 23, 2013 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

The Clutter Busting Coach’s definition of clutter comes down to this…  “clutter is anything that you want to let go but haven’t yet. This can be mental and physical clutter”.

With physical clutter the challenge is in the letting go and also on not acquiring both of which is connected to our emotions.

To start letting go of the physical stuff here are some tips from the Clutter Busting Coach:

  • Don’t obsess about having a “system” first

Finding the right storage system — whether it’s plastic bins or closet organizers is not the answer. Containers can become clutter. Make the hard decisions about getting rid of things yourself; then figure out where to store what’s left. No one object has the power to bring clarity to your home. Letting Go to Make Room for the New You

June 1, 2013 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. ~Albert Einstein

Are you currently stuck? Have you been working on getting fit or losing weight or living a healthier lifestyle?

Maybe you need to shake things up and let go of things that are attached to the “old you” so you can make room for the “new you”.

We get comfortable with the things and routines in our lives…so much so that we don’t even realize some of the things we are doing to sabotage ourselves or that we are allowing things or people or beliefs to hold us back.

For example do you continue to take the elevator believing that you can’t climb the stairs? Let go of that habit…that belief…and start with one flight of stairs. Maybe you have an old pair of sweats that are too big for you but you keep them just in case…let them go.

So this week let go of three “things” that are associated with the “old you” so you can make room for change.

You can do it! Step out of your comfort zone.

Make Room for Change

April 27, 2013 by clutterbusting 1 Comment

Have you resolved to change? Have you declared your intention to change? Have you started to make choices that will start the change process?

Great!  But are you still struggling?

Then ask yourself…Have you made room for change in your life? Let go of the things that no longer serve you so that you can move forward with those things that are most beneficial. You can’t have room for anything new — or be anyone new — if you have a cluttered mind or space.

Here are some thoughts about making room for change: [Read more…] about Make Room for Change
