I was contemplating the start of Lent on March 6 and thinking about what I would be focusing on during those 40 days in 2019.
During the six weeks of self-examination and reflection, Christians who observe Lent typically make a commitment to fast, or to give up something—a habit, such as smoking, watching TV, swearing, or a food or drink, such as sweets, chocolate, or coffee.
What if I we used the 40 days of Lent to assist us in letting go of clutter? That would help us give up things that no longer serve us, keep us stuck or It could be one item each day, one bag each day/week or decluttering an area at a time. Or you could commit to daily journaling on the topic of decluttering your life. If declutter is difficult for you, this could help you get started on that journey.
I am committing to declutter during those 40 days by letting go of one item cluttering my life (space, mind or body) each day.
Will you join me in this decluttering journey? What do you commit to declutter during your 40 days?
