Clutter Busting: How to Let Go

August 25, 2018 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

Letting go starts with the decision to do so. And yet many of us still struggle making the decisions of what we can and should remove from our home and our lives.

We have ended up with clutter because of delayed decisions. But you can change that. Making the choice to decide one item at a time can move you forward. And developing some guiding principles for letting go of your stuff can also help.

Somedays it may just be one item or another day it may be a box or bag of things. Somedays it will be easy and other days you may struggle. Yet, each decision makes the next one easier.

How can you let go of your stuff?

Clutter Busting: Craft and Hobby Supplies

August 18, 2018 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

Through my clutter busting journey this summer, I have taken several side trips. Being able to declutter for me has been about making decisions in the moment. Decisions about where I am inspired to work and let go of things. Working in the moment.

Recently that moment happened in my craft closet/space.By focusing on just craft supplies related to card making, I completed two card kits in a two-day marathon (not suggesting that and not sure that was a good decision) and let go of supplies that became a donation basket for a silent auction for a cause that I support.

As you are decluttering your craft or hobby area here are some suggestions: [Read more…] about Clutter Busting: Craft and Hobby Supplies

Clutter Busting: The Basement Journey (Again) Check In

July 15, 2018 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

I have been doing a lot of checking in this year. I have been checking in monthly on how my word intention of connectivity for 2018 is going. And I have been sharing my lessons learned in hopes that you are inspired.

I am also now checking in on my basement project.

Many times, when it comes to clutter people give up even before they start because they are overwhelmed or because they have made attempts to declutter in the past and those have not stuck.

I didn’t become a coach or one that focuses on clutter because I am the most organized person or have the cleanest house, I decided on being a clutter coach because I want to share the lessons I learn through this life journey of mine that includes clutter. So here I am making the choice to tackle my basement clutter (again) and continue to learn and share those lessons with everyone.

I am grateful that I choose not to give up and that I can continue to grow. And hopefully inspire you to do the same.

I would be honored to help you by being your coach. If you are interested in learning more contact me.

Clutter Busting: The Basement Journey (Again)

June 30, 2018 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

I have shared my basement journey in the past. In fact, it was seven years ago that I shared my basement project. And like some goals the basement became again destination and not a journey.

I am not proud of that. What I am proud of is that I use the knowledge I gain as I work at becoming unstuck or clearing clutter and, hopefully, become a better life coach because of it.

Maybe your journey is about something else…maintaining a healthy weight, consistently exercising, keeping your “hot spot” clear, processing paper so it doesn’t pile up. Whatever that journey is, join me over the next couple of weeks. And let’s inspire each other.

Clutter Busting: Choose to Become Unstuck

June 23, 2018 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

According to www.thefreedictionary.com the word stuck (as I am using it) is defined as:

Adj. 1. stuck – caught or fixed; “stuck in the mud”
unstuck – free; “a man with a mule got my car unstuck”; “the gears locked in second and would not come unstuck”
2. stuck – baffled; “this problem has me completely stuck”

When we have a cluttered mind, body or space, we are often stuck or feel caught with no way out.

You can choose to become unstuck by:
• Creating a vision for your life.
• Believing you can achieve your dreams.
• Taking action including daily practices.
• Making daily choices.

If you are feeling stuck, contact me for a free 30 minute introductory session to see if working with me (a life coach) can help you become unstuck.
