Making a Leap of Faith

September 24, 2022 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

You can accomplish anything you set out to do with a leap of faith.

Do you feel that your goals are unattainable? Are you nine months into the year and still stuck and not achieving your goals? Are you standing on the precipice of your potential looking into an abyss of your ambition? Do you resist the urge to jump, paralyzed by the gap between where you are and the life of your dreams?

Taking a leap into the unknown, even if it will get you to where you want to go, can be difficult and can feel like you are losing control.

Embracing uncertainty requires you to trust that taking that leap into the unknown, will garner you the reward that you seek. Believing in your success and envisioning the result, can start you toward achieving your goals. Attitude is everything and stepping out of your comfort zone will jettison you into a new phase of your life. While you may fear what seems to be the inevitable failure, consider that you may find yourself flying. Yet a successful leap of faith requires your attention and focus on your ultimate destinations. Understand that the leap across the vacuum of uncertainty may challenge you in unexpected ways but you will make it across the chasm if you trust yourself.

Build a bridge of knowledge to dampen your resistance. The more you know about the leap you are about to take and the benefits that you will obtain, the smaller the gap between here and there will appear to be. Your courageous leap of faith can lead you into uncharted territory, enabling you to build a new more exciting life.

Experience the exhilaration of taking a leap into your future.

10 Habits to Adopt

July 11, 2020 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

Adopting daily actions will turn them into our habits.

If you want to have habits that make you happier and more successful, here is a list of 10 things or “Dos” that can have a huge impact for you.

Do: Say “no” to yourself once a day. By saying no to yourself, you will get yourself out of the habit of entitlement. Saying no (to a dessert, something that does not focus on your goal, buying something you do not need) will help you succeed and stick to your current plan.

Do: Read 15 minutes every day. Read some type of non-fiction, inspirational or self-improvement material daily. This will help you continue to grow as a person and can add motivation and positivity to your day.

Do: cut down on your screen time (TV, phone, etc.) by one hour each day. If you have been challenged with achieving your goals, this hour can be spent on them. [Read more…] about 10 Habits to Adopt

A Runners Journey- Life begins at the end of your comfort zone

July 28, 2012 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

Week four of the “Couch to 5k” program is done. Complete. Check.

In reflecting on this journey so far, I recalled something that Chris Powell said on the TV show “Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition” He said “Life starts at the end of your comfort zone.” For me my past experience with attempting to run was extremely uncomfortable… both physically and mentally. I didn’t feel like a runner and I am sure I didn’t look like a runner.

This has definitely been both a physical and mental journey for me. Physically I have been able to accomplish what I have done so far by taking baby steps. By following the training schedule and not forcing it to go faster I am making good, steady progress. This program is teaching me patience…especially with myself.

As for the mental portion, this program has reinforced the concept of “attitude is everything.” My approach to running this time has been to mentally prepare and change my attitude. Actually, I have allowed myself to believe that I am a runner.
So are your beliefs holding you back from achieving a dream?  Believe in yourself and you can make your dreams come true.

Let me help you evaluate your beliefs and get unstuck from the chaos that is holding you back.

Dream Big…What are Your Goals for 2010?

January 2, 2010 by clutterbusting Leave a Comment

Happy 2010!

What are your dreams and goals for the New Year? Are you planning on taking small baby steps or is it time to push yourself out of your comfort zone into something bigger for yourself?

In a recent post from my Coach, Janet, she addresses this topic of dreaming bigger. She makes a great point about playing it safe or taking a leap for the brass ring. I too have been a supporter of small baby steps, but she now has me thinking that you sometimes have to shake it up and just leap…take a big step toward your big dream.

As you set your sights on your 2010 goals (dreams) are you going to pick the same things or push…really push toward the bigger dream?

So are you ready to leap? Leap with me for the New Year.
