Our minds are filled with messages to ourselves…our story. Sometimes they are positive. Some times they are negative. Our attitudes are the same.
For example, I have always struggled with a negative attitude about exercise. After diving into it, it stems from some very bad experiences I had as a child around exercise and confidence. Bless my elementary school gym teachers but pushing, yelling, competition and fear (how I perceived it) did not push me toward exercise. It pushed me into avoidance of gym and anything sports related.
So I continue to have to do work on my attitude on exercise. And its why I have been challenged with maintain my own healthy weight.
We (I) have to approach exercise in positive way to clear our mindset for getting and staying in shape. I found the tips in this article helpful. I hope you will too.
